Please read these Terms and Services carefully before agreeing to be bound by the same. If you do not agree to be bound by the Terms & Services, do not access or use this website. By using this Website or by placing any purchase orders using the Website, you agree to abide by the terms and conditions set forth herein. Only upon acceptance of the terms contained herein, you will be entitled to submit electronic orders. Any violation of the terms will result in termination of your account.
Shipping Rates

Shipping is free for any purchase on the website.
Shipping Methods Our products are shipped exclusively via Japan's postal service system, Japan Post, which works in cooperation with the postal service in your country to deliver your items. Normal delivery time is 8-10 days. Order tracking is provided if requested. Be sure to select 1 of the 3 shipping methods that includes tracking if you want the ability to track your package. If the delivery time exceeds 14 days please contact us in order to contact the regional postal services.


Processing of orders generally requires 1-2 business day (Monday to Friday). A notice will be sent to you when your item is shipped.
Best by dates We guarantee that all food products are shipped with at least two months left before its best by date. Exceptions are noted on the specific product pages. In some cases, an item may ship without a Best by date. When an item has a mistaken best by date, we replace the item at our discretion.
INCOTERMS: Free Carrier (FCA)

Non-delivery, loss of shipment

Nioteas ships products according to Incoterms Free Carrier (FCA). A tracking number is always available for the shipment, we will attempt to help you locate the package in case of loss. On retail orders we will reship the package after the insurance claim has been processed. In the event of non-delivery due to failure to accept shipment, we will reship the order after it has returned to us (it takes about 3 months), free of charge.  

Damage to shipment

In the event of damage to a shipment, please contact us immediately and we will attempt to rectify the situation to the best of our ability. Photographic evidence is required, and must be submitted to us at info@nio.ch within 7 days of arrival. Please take photographs immediately upon arrival if you believe something is wrong with the shipment.
Returns andRefunds
In general, all sales on this Website are final. However, we may accept returns and/or refunds on a case by case basis if your package has arrived damaged or defective in some way. Please be sure to take photographic evidence and contact us immediately.

In the case of a refund, you will be refunded the value of your item (excluding shipping) minus any discounts applied to the order whether or not it was used specifically for the item being refunded. (For example, if 2 items of $10 are purchased with a $5 discount on one item, and the non-discounted item arrives defective, then you will be refunded $7.50.)
Customs and Import Taxes
Please note that customs regulations vary from country to country and officials in various countries may inspect your shipment, including intrusive inspection (opening of your package). Neither Nioteas nor its Partners can guarantee any method to prevent this from happening.

We are also unable to mark items as "gifts" as this is both illegal and has no bearing on whether a package is or is not inspected. You are responsible for any import taxes or other duties that may be charged by the customs and postal services of your country. When we report customs value, the value of each product is reported excluding the total value of discounts for the order. 

Customers shall pay the price, via the payment services designated by us.
Termination of Agreements and Refunds Policy

Both the customers and we have the right to terminate any Services Agreement for any reason, including the ending of services that are already underway. No refunds shall be offered, where a service is deemed to have begun and is, for all intents and purposes, underway. Any money that has been paid to us which constitute payment in respect of the provision of unused services shall be refunded.

We expect customers to act in good faith, including avoiding abuse of any promotional offers, referrals, etc by creating multiple accounts, or other unintended means of utilizing this website.

We may revise these terms of use for its web site at any time without notice. By using this web site you are agreeing to be bound by the then current version of these Terms and Services.
Governing Law

Delivery Time

Once you order, the merchandise will usually reach you in 7 to 12 days from Tokyo, Japan. The delivery time is different for each destination, depending on the postal service and customs conditions in each country.
In the rare case that customs checks the shipment, the package will likely need an additional week to reach its destination. Also please note that postal delivery service is especially congested at the end of the year around Christmas and New Years.
Therefore we cannot know exactly what date the merchandise will be delivered. Please place your order in a timely manner to allow for shipping time.


Express Shipping


  • Express International Delivery has a faster, more precise schedule, and is traceable (package location is tracked). It costs additional money depending on the weight (smaller packages are more expensive) and the delivery time is usually 4 to 8 days (*).
    This is also a good option for gifts, especially during the busy winter holiday season when international shipping gets congested. To choose this Express International Delivery Option, please check the box on the checkout page.

To track your package, please view your confirmation email. If you selected a shipping option that includes tracking, you should be provided with a tracking number. If you cannot find your tracking number, please contact us via email or social media and we will provide you with one.

(*) The delivery time is different for each destination, depending on the postal service and customs conditions in each country. Please note that we can't guarantee the delivery time or exact date of delivery.

AirMail Delivery Delay Due to COVID-19

Parcels shipped from Nio Teas to anywhere in the world, except the US, Canada, the UK, Germany, and a few other countries may significantly be delayed due to a significant decrease in the number of international airline flights, resulting from COVID-19 (Coronavirus) travel restrictions. Only Express International Delivery bound for countries below are almost following normal delivery times.
We strongly recommend that you choose the express option, which is fast and trackable. Or you may wish to order after the COVID-19 crisis calms down and conditions return to normal.
We, Nio Teas are cooperating closely with Japan Post to get detailed information.

Taxes other than customs duty, for example, VAT (Value-Added Tax), can be possibly imposed when you receive the parcel (especially in the EU region). It depends on each country’s regulation, order contents, order amount, or each circumstance. We don’t charge you any taxes with your order payment. And we are unable to bear any responsibility for any taxation issue. For more details about what taxes may be required in your country, please contact the tax or customs authority in your country.


We wrap our packages as simply as possible, while still being well protected during delivery. The simple packaging also saves on international shipping costs and gives our customers the lowest possible price for high-quality tea. We do however use additional padding and wrapping when appropriate, in order to ensure the safety of our tea.
